The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat
If you or someone in your group is in a wheelchair or has limited mobility, contact the tour operator to discuss accessibility

We bought our tickets at 1:50pm for the 2:30 cruise. Around 2:15 we were informed that the tour was canceled because the boat had mechanical problems. It was disappointing. We got our money back.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review even though you did not take a cruise with us. It is true that we had to cancel some cruises to an oil pump needing to be replaced. We could not operate the vessel with just one engine and thus had to cancel cruises until it was repaired. We did all we could to try to get the problem fixed prior to cruising but had to have sea trials and coast guard inspection prior to running. We are sorry you were not able to cruise with us, but mechanical issues can arise at times and are beyond our control. We issued refunds in full to all guests that were booked. We hope you'll give us a shot next time you're in Kingston.

This past Friday night my dance family and I agreed to meet and sail with the Hudson River Cruises in Kingston, NY. One of our favorite DJ’s was booked for the country music cruise on the Hudson River and we went out to support him. Unfortunately, the boat had mechanical trouble and could not leave the dock. Fortunately, it did not matter because they allowed us on the ship to dance the night away and gave us free passes for another cruise for some time in the near future. A Win-Win situation for us! Things happen in life and you just roll with it. The M/V Rip Van Winkle was clean, the staff was friendly, the bar was stocked and our cruise to literally No-Where was still a wonderful experience that I would not have missed. I can’t wait to use our comp-tickets for our next gathering.

We had a wonderful evening on the Hudson River. The drinks and music was perfect! It was low-key and not a wild evening, which was perfect for visiting and enjoying the views!
