The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

Waited for a perfect weather day (a 10) to take the Rip Van Winkle Boat, Hudson River Cruise from Rondout Landing, Kingston, NY for the second time. The trip was even better (a 10) than it was when we took it the first time about 20 years ago, so a great 1-day vacation on a perfect day (a 10-10). The narrator will explain the details about every site along both sides of the Hudson River for the entire trip. If you can spare a day, pick a good one and take this Hudson River Cruise for a truly relaxing 2-hour Cruise for a reasonable price—even better if you're a senior and get the discount. HINTS: Take a mid-week, morning trip, and get in line 20-30 minutes prior to the half-hour-in-advance scheduled boarding time to get your pick of deck location.

I went on this cruise expecting a more in depth history of the region with a focus on the indigenous peoples and European influence. Mostly though it was focussed on mansions of wealthy people, something I had absolutely no interest in.
