We had received an email after booking the trip to call pertaining to the use of a wheel chair. We call and are informed that no electric wheelchairs are permitted. The day of the cruise my husband and I are visibly transferring my father from the electric wheel chair to the manual wheel chair. We can't help but spot a man who apparently takes the reservations flagging us down. My husband and I stop what we are doing to see what this man needs. We are then told that no electric wheelchairs are allowed. (No really) We are then rudely asked if we have reservations, followed by our name and reservation # which I had supplied to him. It made us feel very unwelcome and as if our presence had caused a hassle. I have to say the rest of the crew was amazing, friendly, and very accommodating!!

Thank you so much for taking a cruise with Hudson River Cruises and for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry that your initial interaction with our staff was unpleasant, but it sounds like the rest of the trip made up for it! We will certainly make sure to sort this out with additional training and make sure it doesn't happen again. Electric chairs or scooters are too heavy or too bulky to come on the boarding ramp, which is why we have that policy and we will make sure that it is handled better in the future. We very much appreciate your feedback as customer service and your experience is the most important thing to us! We will hope to see you another time. Thank you, Management

This cruise never disappoints. Day 3 of our 40 year high school reunion concluded with a beautiful sail on the Hudson River. The staff is so nice and made it so easy for our group of about 22. We will definitely be back for one of their music cruises in the near future.

Take a break on a beautiful day and tkae the 2 hour cruise through the heart of the Hudson. Easy parking and a "ship shape" boat greet you across the street from downtown Kingston. The narration of the history and the multitude of estates on both sides of the Hudson was very entertaining. A nice break from driving with a great chance to grab lunch or dinner in town.
