The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

This was a great way to spend an afternoon on the beautiful Hudson River! The Rio Van Winkle was comfortable with a helpful staff and a narrated tour. We sailed up and down the river. Beautiful mansions, estates, colleges and scenery made for s pleasant voyage.

My group of teacher friends and I had a great trip this past Saturday. We went on the two hour Hudson River cruise. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the Hudson River and seeing the beautiful mansions! The crew and staff were excellent and very pleasant.

My husband, our adult son, and I took this cruise a week or so ago. The views are beautiful, the boat is immaculate, the staff is friendly, and the historical information was great. Things I think could be improved: the food (my son's hamburger was taken out of a plastic bag and microwaved). If you don't have cooking facilities serve some fresh, cold sandwiches, wraps, or just snacks instead. The narrator although knowledgeable,seemed a little low energy too. Just a few tweaks would make this an even better experience.
