This is the only tour in New York City that lets guests experience and taste hundreds of years of New York City's history. Not only do we tell the story of the immigrants in New York, we taste their iconic foods that they brought to the City from their home country's. What starts out eating the distinct foods of different cultures crescendos into tasting New York's unique cuisine.

We can accommodate vegetarians, but please reach out for other food preferences. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone.

You'll eat FIVE of New York's most iconic foods at the best places in the Lower East Side. As you eat, you'll experience how immigrants and their food started as separate groups, but came together to become New Yorkers... and New York cuisine!

Hank was very knowledgeable on the food and neighborhood history of New York. We had a great time. Our your included donuts, pizza, soup dumplings in Chinatown, bagels and lox, and New York cheesecake. All the establishments were excellent and Hank made this an educational, delicious and fun experience.

Wow! Hard to put into words how delicious and fun the Chinatown tour was. Scott is a gregarious and knowledgeable tour guide and on this tour you will hit all the best spots and learn so much along way. Scott will keep a smile on your face and your tummy full! I still dream about the pork buns! A great activity for friends, lovers, or family!

Ultimate Food Tours curated a fantastic experience through one of Manhattans most culturally rich neighborhoods, the Lower East Side. The historical aspect of the tour was gripping, really allowing you to appreciate how New York’s various cuisines evolved and played off one another. The company was great and the tour guide was fun, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was having the best experience possible regardless of dietary restrictions and / or preferences. 10/10!
