BIGHORN SHEEP CANYON

Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon and perfect for families, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

What To Expect

You will meet at our office and check in with our friendly office staff, meet your guide, get outfitted with the proper rafting equipment, go through and in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a 25-30 drive to the river put int

Once you arrive at the put in you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then you are off for an adventure of a life time! You will spend 2-2.5 hours on the water running great whitewater and viewing amazing Colorado scenery.

Loved this trip! Our guides were knowledgeable, funny, and friendly! I was pretty nervous and felt very safe on the trip, but challenged (in a good way!). I would highly recommend this tour, especially because you will be supporting a small business!

This company really pays attention to safety and does their absolute best to make everyone comfortable! I’m so glad that they have an in-depth safety talk at the beginning of the trip so in the event of mayhem we all know what to do/expect. Everyone there is so friendly and respectful- from the office staff, drivers, guides and management! The entire process of booking a trip is made incredibly streamline by their booking software online- but if you have any issues, just give their office a call and they’ll have everything answered and booked in no time! I was able to book a trip on my lunch break at work- THAT EASY! With the COVID-19 outbreak this company has excellent sanitization procedures. They take all the protocols very seriously and ensure that everyone is doing their part to make everyone comfortable and safe. Hand sanitizer and masks are made available for the bus ride to and from the trip, social distancing measures are executed as well as they can be for the spaces available, and health screening questionnaires are given to each guest before their check in! The guides are so knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna, rock formations and the not-so-ancient history of the area! It makes the experience so interactive- and gives you some snazzy trivia about Colorado to impress your friends back home! You can be as interactive or timid as you want to be. The company is very accommodating for those with children, disabilities, and senior citizen guests. They’ve got a variety of trips for all experience and comfortability levels! Just let them know when you book your trip what you need and they will make sure it is taken into consideration. Safety is obviously #1 for these folks! The Bighorn Sheep Canyon trip is definitely worth booking in the higher water if you’re looking for that intense, splashy, high adrenaline ride! If you’re looking for something milder, the later season is still a great trip! They take your photos in one particular rapid and it’s so fun to see the candid shots of raft mates having fun for lasting memories! I highly recommend this company! I have rafted with them multiple times and every time is different and exciting! Hoping to return this summer! We had a blast on this trip with E-man as our guide! He was super friendly and knowledgeable, took pictures of us and generally just made it a fun half-day out on the water with our teenagers, age 13 and 16. What made me really happy though was that the staff was super careful about making sure everyone wore masks when they needed to and they had thoroughly cleaned everything. Even the guy at the check in desk was nice. We had a great experience with this professional crew.
