Overview

Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for families, first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

You will meet at our office and check in with our friendly office staff, meet your guide, get outfitted with the proper rafting equipment, go through and in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a 25-30 drive to the river put int

Once you arrive at the the river you will be given specific a professional guide that will take you on an adventure of a life time! You will spend 2-2.5 hours on the water running great whitewater, potential Bighorn Sheep sightings and viewing amazing Colorado scenery.

We had a fantastic time with Arkansas River Tours: 1/2 day Bighorn Sheep Canyon with our river guide, Ethan. It was a beautiful day, the water was cold but we were thankful for the wetsuit rentals. Ethan was knowledge and fun, pointing out the rock formations in the beautiful mountains along the river. Fun for the whole family!

The whole trip was amazing. Buddy was great, very knowledgeable of the river, currents, condition of the rapids, He stressed safety, he gave great clear instructions and made it very fun and great experience. I will definitely go again.

Had a blast. And that’s an understatement! All the guides are awesome, which makes the whole experience what it is. Sam Crystal was our guide and she became our favorite person in a few hours. Easy to understand yet challenging for people going for the first time (my case) The water was super fun to navigate with my family and required some hilarious teamwork, which Sam faciliated perfectly. Proffesional and kept it real! Loved every second, definitly going again!
