Introduction to the French Quarter Walking Tour

Overview
History, Architecture, and Creole Culture - this is a crash course on New Orleans! This is the best tour for people who want to know everything there is to know about the Crescent City. Our 2 hour, historical-walking tour has plenty of fun facts and true stories to entertain even the veteran visitor to the city.

We will answer often asked questions such as:
• Why build a city in a swamp?
• Why is it call it a po-boy sandwich?
• Was there really a streetcar named Desire?

The historic landmarks you will visit are:
• Jackson Square and the Saint Louis Cathedral
• Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Tavern
• First Pharmacy in the United States
• Old Ursuline Convent, the oldest building in New Orleans

*** We also offer an 8:00 AM, Early Bird Tour. Beat the heat and the crowds on this tour for the morning person. This time is also recommended for those photography-minded individuals. A Sunrise Option is available by request for a small additional fee (call for more information).***

Just my wife and I on this tour on a Sunday afternoon. Carlo was great. Very knowledgeable on New Orleans history and culture. The whole almost 2 hour tour was nonstop information. He also answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend Carlo and Storyville Tours.

Very nice tour and lots of info as promised. We too had a small group, which allowed my daughter to stop and purchase some street art as we heard more about the surrounding buildings. No down time. You get your moneys worth. I definitely recommend this walking toward for those of you without bad knees.

I had a wonderful experience although perhaps unusual. When I arrived on a Monday afternoon at 3pm in February, I was the only tour-goer. Tour guide Carlo was non-plussed and gave me a very personal and comprehensive tour. Being a native to the area, his love shone through on every detail. He also seemed to thrive on questions, while admitting when he needed to do more research. I found his honesty and enthusiasm fantastic. I definitely recommend this tour
