More details on the process of getting to destination. We were not told we would need to buy ferry tickets before going on tour. I though it was included. I was panicky about getting to destination, then van was late on arrival

There is no place anywhere that mentions the tickets for the ferry are included... We were not late, we notified all customers that we were starting 15 minutes later than the norm... we notified everyone.... all info for pickups are noted on the site... we are easy to find as we are right at the end of the ramp of the ferry..... im glad you found us right there....

Lived the tour! Lots of local info. Beautiful island. Nice ferry ride over. Crazy all the rock fences.

I was so impressed with Homegrown Tours' customer service! Since it was nearing the end of shoulder season, I messaged asking which port would be best since the ferry had reduced hours and the only ferry to Oaks Bluff arrived at 10:15. I was worried that the the Steamship Authority would be delayed and we would miss our 10:30 tour. Homegrown Tours not only called me several times to discuss, but also checked the ferry times and made sure we chose the right one. Devin, our guide, was knowledgeable and gave lots of information about the history and the culture on Martha's Vineyard. The vans have large windows and only hold about 8 people or so, and we never felt crowded or like we were on a giant tour bus. Overall, this is a great tour and I would recommend.
