DEE IS REMARKABLE I, my son and daughter, missed our 9:00am ferry from Woods Hole and arrived in Martha's Vineyard much later in the day. Dee was very gracious and changed her schedule just for us and took us around the next day. Other businesses consider that a "no show" and would have just kept your money. How special and remarkable is this woman Dee? Very! THE TOUR AROUND THE ISLAND Dee shared so much information, all very interesting and many stops that included but was not limited to the beaches, famous sites/lookouts, movie star places lol, the Gingerbread Cottages, JAWS locations, Orange Peel Bakery in Aquinnah, etc. THE HIGHLIGHTS We laughed about the fresh water drinking story and was heartened when Dee took us to the Orange Peel Bakery where we met the Owner Julianne, a native and member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe. I was inspired with Julianne's honor system of "pay as you go" for her baked goods. And we can't forget the very delicious lobster roll from Menemsha. Plain but somehow so good. THIS IS THE ONE Do not hesitate to choose Dee. It was so very easy to connect with her and my kids and I really enjoyed our day with her. Dee knows a lot and she'll have you laughing as well. Through my travels and experience with tour guides, she definitely is among the top. What sets her apart and delivers for me: she has the "aloha" that made us feel so comfortable, so welcoming, felt like we were home in Hawaii. Dee, thank you so much for a great time! Keep up your goodness.

The group is small and in the three hours you cover the entire island, The guide is very knowledgeable and seems to have a true love for the island. We learned alot on this tour and found it to be well worth the money.

Taking the 3 hour private island tour of Martha's Vineyard with Dee Dee of Home Grown Tours was one of the highlights of our New England Trip! She was very responsive and helpful before we arrived and gave us great information to plan this tour. She is fun, knowlegeable about her island and told us great stories that we would never have gotten had we gone on a regular bus tour. I highly recommend this private tour with Dee Dee - it is totally worth it!
