Go Tuk'n is the only tour provider of this tour. These two historic neighborhoods were developed after the 1901 fire in Jacksonville. The residential architecture is some of the most unique across the USA in these two neighborhoods. In addition, you will visit the Memorial Part celebrating the legacy of our WWI veterans on the beautiful St. John's River. You will also find hidden parks and learn about our unique history in these areas of our city.

What To Expect

Riverside/Avondale Historic District

These historic neighborhoods have many parks, historic homes, and shoppes plus such much more to see and learn. These neighborhoods were created mainly after our famous 1901 fire that destroyed our downtown. Several famous Southern Rock bands started their musical career here in this area, so you'll get to see where it all began. Memorial Park, dedicated to our WWI fallen community members. And so much more.

Memorial Park

This park is dedicated to the fallen WWI from our city. This beautiful park overlooks the St. John's River as well.

What a fantastic tour! Toni was great and so knowledgeable about the area. We learned about the different architectural styles of homes that are in the area and it was so wonderful to be immersed in the neighborhoods, without actually disturbing the residents. The tour was so much more than I anticipated. I highly recommend the company and I’m looking forward to another one of their tours, when we are back in the area. Toni was one of our favorite tour guides, ever and she is also very considerate. A real gem!

Not even a short cloudburst could spoil our afternoon with Toni today. We knew we were impressed with the beauty of Jax, but learning the history behind the more impressive buildings was so enjoyable. She pointed out areas we would have walked right by. Toni loves her city and it shows. Now we do, too. What a great way to travel around this city.
