This is a newer museum we have never toured. Am thankful we visited here on this trip to Virginia. We were pressed for time, so we did not take in the outdoor exhibits which we have visited in years past. This museum has so much to see and absorb. It is very educational and you can learn a lot that probably you didn't learn in school. From years past, I can say the outdoor exhibits are exceptional and give you a complete overview of events and history that took place here. Budget your time to spend 2 - 4 hours here.

Thought it was a great exhibit save the last bit which honored Margaret Sanger (and miraculously failed to mention her support for eugenics), and felt a little too politicized for a 17th century museum. I tried keeping an open mind, but the more I looked at the final room the more convinced I was that the bias of that last bit was too much and I would hope the Jamestown team will consider alienating folks

Dominion is to be commended for the care they put into the Jamestown Settlement and American Revolution Museums. Informative, elegantly displayed and interactive, both are simply remarkable means of learning more about American history. You could easily spend a whole day at each site but shorter visits would be rewarding too. As the saying goes, "history is fun." It sure is at Jamestown and Yorktown.
