the museums are really boring, the reenactment is nothing like that in Williamsburg, and honestly once you spend time there the rest is just repetitive. It's not worth the price of admission. I would recommend just spending time in the historic districts, walking through the town and driving the historic sites through the national park.

The indoor museum is my favorite part because it really tells you what took place in America's early history that you might not glean chasing small children around the fort and Indian village as we were. The kids loved the ship and watching the musket go off.

In spite of the bitter cold, my husband and I had a wonderful time here. The cold only deepens our appreciation of the soldiers and the conditions they endured. The displays were well laid out and many were hands on. Walking through the outdoor displays was enlightening. We really enjoyed seeing how the soldiers cooked and lived. The ships were all open for exploration. I was surprised at how many people were on the voyages.
