It's only a good reproduction of the real Jamestowne* 1607, but excellent museum, gift shops, a nice cafe & a short walking tour to an Indian village interpreting their life, two authentic ships docked with 17th century-looking crew members near the ferries on the pretty James River. Finish the walk at the fort, where blacksmiths, cooks, and a musket demonstration complete the experience. All great fun!
*The real Jamestowne is a short distance along the parkway with thousands of architectural finds and a glass-making exhibit/shop. Find out if colonists ate the dead to survive harsh winters!
