What To Expect

Joshua Tree National Park

Our shuttle van will take you to the city of Joshua Tree where we trade for our H-1 Military Hummer to complete your adventure. We climb to the top of a breathtaking overlook called Eureka Peak that will give you a stunning view of the valley below and a view that stretches all the way to Mexico.

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve

Nestled among the Little San Bernardino Mountains in the Sand to Snow National Monument, the desert oasis at Big Morongo Canyon is one of the 10 largest cottonwood and willow riparian habitats in California. The upstream end of the canyon lies in the Mojave Desert, while its downstream portion opens into the Colorado Desert. There are numerous trails to walk and hike, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through the marsh and riparian habitats. At 31,000 acres with elevations ranging from 600 feet on the canyon floor to 3000 feet at the top of the ridge, this diverse landscape has been an important part of the Morongo Basin’s natural and cultural history for almost two billion years.

Eight longtime friends booked a Hummer tour of the Joshua Tree National Park. Jeff was our driver/guide. He provided a fabulous trip! He is knowledgeable and very very witty.. he stopped at fabulous formations, vistas and took incredible photos of our group. To top it off, as we drove through this other-worldly topography, he played a soundtrack that really embellished the total experience.. also thanks to Bill who helped us to customize our experience. Don’t miss this trip!

Our time spent in Joshua National Park was beautiful!!! A suggestion would be not to sit in the first row of seats on the open air jeep tour though...you can't see a thing! Between the roll bar and the top of the windshield my view was completely blocked (unless you're super short and can look under). Other than that - breathtaking views at the lookout areas!

Gary was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about a wide range of topics, plus he was fun! We sat up on the back of the H1 military Humvee with blankets for warmth and could easily hear him due to the speaker system. Learnt a lot about the San Andreas fault Complex, the flora and fauna, and viewed some stunning vistas. It was wonderful.
