What To Expect

Joshua Tree National Park

Our shuttle van will take you to the city of Joshua Tree where we trade for our H-1 Military Hummer to complete your adventure. We climb to the top of a breathtaking overlook called Eureka Peak that will give you a stunning view of the valley below and a view that stretches all the way to Mexico.

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve

Nestled among the Little San Bernardino Mountains in the Sand to Snow National Monument, the desert oasis at Big Morongo Canyon is one of the 10 largest cottonwood and willow riparian habitats in California. The upstream end of the canyon lies in the Mojave Desert, while its downstream portion opens into the Colorado Desert. There are numerous trails to walk and hike, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through the marsh and riparian habitats. At 31,000 acres with elevations ranging from 600 feet on the canyon floor to 3000 feet at the top of the ridge, this diverse landscape has been an important part of the Morongo Basin’s natural and cultural history for almost two billion years.

Our guide, Josh, was outstanding. His knowledge of the area which included the birds, animals, plants, trees, and explanation of the geology was greatly appreciated by our group. He also had great stories about the gold mining and ranchers who had settled in the area.

I booked this excursion as a private tour for a company event. Louis and Gary were excellent tour guides and put a lot of effort into making the tour interesting and informative. The highlight of the tour were various little hikes we got to do. If you are contemplating booking this tour, give yourself time for that. The park is huge and experiencing things up close is worth it.

We had an absolutely great time seeing the San Andreas Fault, the Oasis & visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Our driver Jeff was very knowledgeable & fun. Riding in the open air hummer was exhilarating. Jeff even had music selected for different parts of the trip. There were kids in our group too & Jeff was really good with them. All the scenery was so beautiful from the oasis to Joshua Tree National Park to Eureka Peak. I highly reccomend this trip. We would do it again.
