What To Expect
1
Joshua Tree National Park
Our shuttle van will take you to the city of Joshua Tree where we trade for our H-1 Military Hummer to complete your adventure. We climb to the top of a breathtaking overlook called Eureka Peak that will give you a stunning view of the valley below and a view that stretches all the way to Mexico.

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve
Nestled among the Little San Bernardino Mountains in the Sand to Snow National Monument, the desert oasis at Big Morongo Canyon is one of the 10 largest cottonwood and willow riparian habitats in California. The upstream end of the canyon lies in the Mojave Desert, while its downstream portion opens into the Colorado Desert. There are numerous trails to walk and hike, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through the marsh and riparian habitats. At 31,000 acres with elevations ranging from 600 feet on the canyon floor to 3000 feet at the top of the ridge, this diverse landscape has been an important part of the Morongo Basin’s natural and cultural history for almost two billion years.

Josh led well. He really loves and knows the desert ecosystems and that came through. His timing was impeccable in that we saw everything without any rush and still reached the top of Mt. Eureka in time for sunset. Great deriver and gracious docent.

This was a great experience. We've been through Joshua Tree before, but this was a guided tour that explained various aspects and the history of the park. For example, they tell you the story about why it's called Lost Horse Mine. The views from Keys View were stunning. These guys need to clone themselves and have operations at the other national parks. I will look for a guided tour every time from now on.

Everything went as plan. Our visit to the oasis gave us a encounter with a rattle snake which was cool. Then we had a amazing ride in Joshua NP and saw some wildlife. Once we got to the top with the sunset it was possible that was the best sunset I have ever seen. Must do if visiting Palm Desert area!!!

Thanks for the great review. You are right. Our sunset point in Joshua Tree is amazing. It's a mile high over the Palm Springs Valley with sweeping views. But, when the sun sets, no place offers more of a view! Of course, you need a 4×4 to get there.
