What To Expect

Joshua Tree National Park

Our shuttle van will take you to the city of Joshua Tree where we trade for our H-1 Military Hummer to complete your adventure. We climb to the top of a breathtaking overlook called Eureka Peak that will give you a stunning view of the valley below and a view that stretches all the way to Mexico.

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve

Nestled among the Little San Bernardino Mountains in the Sand to Snow National Monument, the desert oasis at Big Morongo Canyon is one of the 10 largest cottonwood and willow riparian habitats in California. The upstream end of the canyon lies in the Mojave Desert, while its downstream portion opens into the Colorado Desert. There are numerous trails to walk and hike, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through the marsh and riparian habitats. At 31,000 acres with elevations ranging from 600 feet on the canyon floor to 3000 feet at the top of the ridge, this diverse landscape has been an important part of the Morongo Basin’s natural and cultural history for almost two billion years.

Excellent tour, and exceptional tour guide exceeding well versed and knowledge about the geology, horticulture and wild life of the area. We’ll worth the cost. Our tour guide and driver made this a fun, safe tour.

The Joshua Tree Hummer Adventure was an amazing experience! Gary was the best guide, he is super knowledgable on all things Geology, Palm Desert and Joshua Tree (we learned so much)! He also has a great sense of humor, which made for a fun day cruising the back roads of the park. Our experience happened to to fall during the extreme heat wave-Gary contacted us the day before "out of an abundance of caution" to let us know our tour of Joshua Tree would be in an air-conditioned Hummer, not open air. It was a very good call and greatly appreciated by my family! I would highly recommend this experience....5 hours flew by and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Finally, to top it off, Gary's personal play list was awesome!!!

Gary was super awesome! Very knowledgeable about the landscape, history, community, etc. Gary picked us up at our VRBO about 10 minutes early but was so gracious and understanding that a group of 6 women were not ready 10 minutes early. He patiently waited and then took his time during the tour making sure all of our questions where answered. He stopped every time one of us wanted to take a picture. Would definitely recommend this tour to Joshua tree and the natural oasis. Ask for Gary!
