Joshua Tree National Park

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve
Nestled among the Little San Bernardino Mountains in the Sand to Snow National Monument, the desert oasis at Big Morongo Canyon is one of the 10 largest cottonwood and willow riparian habitats in California. The upstream end of the canyon lies in the Mojave Desert, while its downstream portion opens into the Colorado Desert. There are numerous trails to walk and hike, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through the marsh and riparian habitats. At 31,000 acres with elevations ranging from 600 feet on the canyon floor to 3000 feet at the top of the ridge, this diverse landscape has been an important part of the Morongo Basin’s natural and cultural history for almost two billion years.

We did the enclosed hummer ride to Joshua Tree. Gary was a wealth of knowledge of the the park and the surroundings areas. We stop several times to get out and enjoys the views. Learned a lot on this trip. :) I would recommend this activity to anyone looking for an adventure. My teens and husband had a great time.

This company is NOT authorized to operate this tour. They will cancel prior to tour and leave you with no options. They are hoping to receive a license to operate. Book elsewhere

We have operated in the national park for over 20 years. Due to the nature of covid in the reopening of our businesses, the national park has been slow to renewing our license. Making accusations of fraud is a very serious claim on a public forum can lead to legal consequences against you. We were honest with you why we needed to cancel and called to cancel you to advise you of other offerings. We had an even gave you a discount on other available tours.

We had a great guide who was very informative and friendly. Our outdoor, open roof Hummer tour changed to an enclosed H2 Hummer because of the cold temps and SNOW. My wife was happy about that. Our route apparently changed because of the weather, so we really did not go where most people could not go and the Tour stuck to the main roads of the Park. We did get out and explore a few times. It is a good way to see the Park.
