No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

Please ensure your weight is in the correct format (kgs/lbs) when you include your weight at checkout
ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift.

This helicopter ride and Mendenhall Glacier walk was the highlight of our trip to Alaska. My husband’s 50th state he visited and he said this was the very best tour. We have done other helicopter rides, but this is the most beautiful. Go soon, because the glaciers are melting:

This was such a cool experience. My husband and I splurged on this and it was worth every dollar. There was a very informative safety video and chat at the beginning. We felt confident we were in good hands. There were boots with great treads we were able to put over our own footwear. The pilot of our helicopter was great, he pointed out lots of interesting things on the flight, we even saw mountain goats. The glacier itself was more breathtaking than I imagined. It's SO blue. The on ice guides were very informative and had great jokes. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
