Overview

Our general tour! Meet our Dock Rep at your cruise ship dock and board our courtesy shuttle. Enjoy a scenic ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and return (about 25 minutes each way). A complimentary stop at the Brotherhood Bridge for a view of the Mendenhall Glacier is available before or after each tour depending on that day's schedule and weather. Enjoy the difference of a personalized tour! About 4 hours and 15 minutes. This 4 hour and 15 minute tour includes approximately 1 hour of round trip transfer time, 3 hours of whale watching/sightseeing cruise, walking on the dock to the boat, and bathroom breaks.

Had a great time with my three kids, on a small but very comfortable boat with just 4 other people. Was great to be off the beaten path, and felt very fortunate to have taken the small/independent operator path vs. piling onto a huge and loud cruiseship-provided excursion. Captain Ryan was great at getting us to the right spots, and reacting to the changing situations, giving us some wonderful opportunities to view whales as close as it safe and non-disruptive to these beautiful creatures. Graham as our guide brought energy and enthusiasm, and shared some great insights from his experience. All around a super-enjoyable trip!

Our second M&H tour, off a cruise, we had awesome time both times!! We got to see Sasha again, we saw her in 2015 with a calf. We saw sea lions, and several whales in different areas, getting lit of great sites as well as whales. I love the boats hold max 18, so easy to have a good view. Highly recommended tour!!

Should have a PA system. A bit pricey. Tour guide had limited knowledge. Captain talked of his life’s accomplishments.
