Where do I begin. I signed up for the Ka Moana Luau through my hotel near Waikiki Beach. It was closer than other luaus so I thought this would be a good option. Boy I was I wrong. First off. I was told that a bus would pick us up from the Ilikai Hotel at 3:55. At that time no driver came out call out the name Ka Moana Luau. Our driver never got out of the bus at this stop. A mother and son who were also going to this luau went up to one of the buses and asked the driver if he was going to this luau. Only then did we find out that this was the right bus. Why didn't the bus driver get out of the bus at this first stop??? He got out of the bus at every other stop after ours and called out the name Ka Moana Luau. He called out peoples' names. He did not do his job properly on the first stop. Then the bus was terribly cold. Luckily I brought a sweater with me but keeping the bus at 66 or 68 degrees is a bad idea. <> . Then the venue. What can I saw. It was small and underwhelming. The food was mediocre at best. The cake was awful. I bake and I know what good cake tastes like. I paid $153 including transportation and tax for this show. It was not worth it.

We paid for a ticket before leaving Australia and found that had we paid a little more we would have been greeted earlier instead of sitting around until 5:50 though the advertising says starts at 5:30. We were last in and seated, we were made to wait while those who were late but paid a little more were served first at the bar. The food was magnificent, there was plenty and dining with a fussy teen was easy for the first time.We were happy with our evening but the more you pay the more you get and that makes it a little uncomfortable. I have seen other shows where everyone pays the same amount gets the same service and the same activities and the same service.
