Overview

Welcome to Traverse City's original kayak, bike & brew tour...KaBrew! TC boasts some must visit microbreweries and pubs. The River Outfitters will help you enjoy Traverse City’s best breweries in style on your KaBrew Tour!

We will pick you up promptly at 1pm at Little Fleet a fixed collection of food trucks offering an eclectic array of bites, plus a bar & outdoor seating. Located at 448 E Front St, Traverse City there is plenty of parking at a local parking garage as well as street parking. We will bring you to the starting point at the Boardman lake. You'll paddle across the Lake to begin at Right Brain Brewery for your first tasting, then back in your boat to paddle down to The Filling Station for round two. Hop on your bike at Hull Park and peddle the Tart trail where you’ll stop along the way at Silver Spruce Brewery. You’ll finish up your 3-4 hour trip back at Little fleet for more tasting and dinner if you like.

You'll bike from Happy Town to Right Brain Brewery where you will stop in and taste* their beer. *Tasting fee not included in price

Traverse City

For our third stop we will Kayak to The Rare Bird Brewery in the heart of Traverse City.

Back to where you started the tour will end at The Workshop located in the warehouse district of Traverse City where you will contact us to come pick you up and drive you back to your vehicles.

6 of us set out in a group of 8 with our guide John in the lead. An easy bike trip (only two hills) around the lake led us to our first stop at Right Brain Brewery. Very cool place with a ton of beverages on tap - loved it. John gave us the option of kayaking or biking there and since the wind had picked up we choose the latter. We then biked a short distance to the Traverse City Whiskey Co to sample some distilled treats and possibly a few local cherries which were yummy. Next stop was lunch and a brew at the Filling Station (excellent pizza). Kayaking was next on our adventure and we all jumped into paddle our way across the lake and into the Boardman River. A short stop to watch huge fish jump then off to walk by the Fish Weir and to our last brewery. John was very accommodating and always gave us options so the group could choose our trip. An interesting way to see and experience Traverse City - would definitely do this again.

What a great time we had!! The whole operation was great - from rescheduling our day due to weather, to all the logistics and our guide Fisher and all our stops as well as the biking and kayaking we had a blast!! Highly recommend this tour!!

This tour was a lot of fun and a great way to explore some of Traverse City's trails & breweries! The staff were really nice and we met some great people in our group.
