Kauai's Waimea Canyon and South Side Private Guided Tour

This tour starts by heading directly to the Waimea Canyon on the west side. On the way there, we will stop to stretch our legs and take a look at the Hanapepe Valley overlook. At Waimea town, we will begin our ascent into the canyon. We will stop at about 1800 feet for our first view, stop at a miniature waterfall for pictures, take a short walk on a nature trail with native Hawaiian plants where you can stand at the very edge of the canyon, and then on to the main canyon viewing area. From there we will head to the top stopping to see the Waipo'o Falls on the way. At the very top we will view two different vantage points of the Kalalau Valley from 4700 feet down to the ocean. On the way back down, listen to a historical tale about the Kalalau Valley. Lunch. Then to the south side for Spouting Horn, Poipu Beach (monk seals) and a walk to see the Makauwahi Sinkhole Cave in Mahaulepu State Park.

Book this tour now!! Noah is amazing. His energy, stories, knowledge of his island and the entire day exceeded. Our party ranged in age from 3-73 and he kept us all engaged the entire time. We left Kauai feeling that we got a good understanding and appreciation of this gorgeous island! We flew in from another island where we had one the worst tour experiences ever so this was a breath of fresh air. Book this now and thank me later!

Awesome tour with Noah. Excellent private tour for 3 couples. Saw a lot of great spots for pictures and Noah was extremely knowledgeable and helped with the group shots. If you want someone else to do the driving, so you can look at the sights, this is the way to go. Noah even added the Koala coffee plantation stop to have lunch and for the coffee drinkers in the group to do some tasting and buying.

We booked this through Tours by Locals for our group of six--ranging from 8 to 70 years old. It was AMAZING! We enjoyed the stories, the music, the various stops, and would highly recommend it for any group. Noah has an education background so he was great with kids, but also was able to answer all of the grown-ups' questions about the island too. Definitely pick his brain for recommendations--we followed where he suggested for more sight seeing and restaurants, and nothing disappointed!!!!!
