Kauai's Waimea Canyon and South Side Private Guided Tour

Overview
[FOR UP TO 6 PASSENGERS, private tour]
This tour starts by heading directly to the Waimea Canyon on the west side. On the way there, we will stop to stretch our legs and take a look at the Hanapepe Valley overlook. At Waimea town, we will begin our ascent into the canyon. We will stop at about 1800 feet for our first view, stop at a miniature waterfall for pictures, take a short walk on a nature trail with native Hawaiian plants where you can stand at the very edge of the canyon, and then on to the main canyon viewing area. From there we will head to the top stopping to see the Waipo'o Falls on the way. At the very top we will view two different vantage points of the Kalalau Valley from 4700 feet down to the ocean. On the way back down, listen to a historical tale about the Kalalau Valley. Lunch. Then to the south side for Spouting Horn, Poipu Beach (monk seals) and a walk to see the Makauwahi Sinkhole Cave in Mahaulepu State Park.

This tour is fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Kaua'i, especially if you want to get a comprehensive experience of the flora, fauna, history, and culture of the island in only one day. Noah is a wealth of knowledge, bubbly personality, and life experiences, and there was never a dull moment on the entire 7 hour tour. Because it is a private tour, Noah asked about our interests and then personalized his stories and information to the things that we wanted to know. In our case, we focused heavily on local plants and agriculture which he knew so much about and had lots of personal experiences with. He took us all over the island, stopping for countless lookout points and photo ops along the way, and sometimes taking a brief hike to a lookout, a beach, and a cave. You will come out of this tour with stunning pictures guarenteed. Noah is a fantastic story teller and has been a teacher in local schools, so his information about Kaua'i's history and culture is incredibly in depth and accurate. I probably learned more on this tour than any other tour I've taken and I would recommend it to anyone! Hands down my favorite tour from our entire Hawai'i trip.

We did a private guided tour to Waimea Canyon and the South Side of Kauai with Noah. Noah was such a wealth of knowledge, great historian and story teller, and most of all, very kind and accommodating. The entire family had an amazing time seeing and learning about Kauai's famous tourist's spots. Our experience as a family is "epic" as per our boys, definitely one for the books. Thank you, Noah, for all you're shared with us!! ā¤ļø

Our guide Noah was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, fun, and really adjusted the experience to fit my familyā€™s needs. I would recommend this tour to everyone, and if you get Noah as your guide, better yet!
