What To Expect

Scorton Creek

The Cape Cod Explorer tour operates exclusively in the Game Creek Conservation land. It is a beautiful tidal flat called Scorton Creek that is fed from Cape Cod Bay and is part of the Great Marsh eco-system. There is a amazing amount of bird activity, wildlife, and overall nature to view throughout our tour. This area consists of salt water, brackish water, and fresh water so the variation of plant and wildlife is astounding!

My two teenagers and I enjoyed this tour very much. It was a gorgeous day for kayaking! Our two guides were super sweet and informative. It is definitely for people with little kayak experience. I would have loved a bit more excitement, but with our skill set, it worked out great. Beautiful area to have the pleasure of seeing.

All 6 of us had a great time on this tour. Was peaceful and easy to navigate. Enjoyed Dierdre’s nature and history narrative as we paddled. Lovely way to spend a morning outdoors seeing new sights. They took care of everything.

Wife and I really enjoyed our easy 2 hour paddle through the salt marshes. Learned a lot about the tides, sea hay and peat. Saw lots of nature, including herons, terns, piping plovers and osprey with multiple nests. Our guide Diedre is a science teacher and was great.
