Booked this during our Alaska cruise for our excursion. It was a really fun and entertaining experience, Dave and Cody took our group of 8(which is the max) out in tandem kayaks and showed us around the waters of Hoonah. We saw all kinds of wildlife and even held a crab! We walked to the town of Hoonah and found the departure point and after the hours long kayaking/sightseeing the shuttle dropped us off back near our cruise ship! Would very much recommend, thanks Cody and Dave for the memories.

BY FAR the highlight of our trip to Alaska. We pulled into Hoonah and met with Cody, our kayak tour guide. He is a local with the best knowledge of the history and traditions of Hoonah and its natives. We were amazed by the sights and sounds of everything we experienced on the water during our excursion. From the bald eagles, to the jumping salmon, and the live crabs. We even got to hold a live crab that Cody's family had caught in a crab pot! By the end of the tour we knew we had made the right decision by skipping the cruise lines kayak tour and going local with Fairweather Kayak tours. We definitely want to come back and do it again someday. Literally breathtaking views and his family took amazing pictures of us on the water. 10/10 highly recommend. If you are going to visit Hoonah, kayak with Fairweather Kayaks and skip the cattle herds that are the cruise line kayak tours.
