In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

I loved that they only allow 6 people on their tour. It was very personal and did not feel crowded. The greeter, captain and guode were all very knowledgeable.

We had a great experience with our night snorkel and our guide Eli was very knowledgeable about the rays. He seemed very passionate and happy during our tour but it was apparent he was having some discomfort and the company had to cancel all the tours after ours due to his physical issues. He did say that he normally stays out there for 4 or 5 hours to do all the tours, which was impressive to me because after an hour, in a short wetsuit, me and my 3 kids were all shivering cold and tired from hanging on to the paddleboard but my husband said he was very comfortable! We saw 4 different manta rays and learned quite a bit. It was a thrilling experience to have the rays swim right up at you, pratically touching you but staying just far away that they never did actually touch me. The boat was small and doesn't have actual seats, you just sit on the cover, which was ok for us but made me a little uncomfortable with my littles on the side. They provided life jackets on request. I just feel lucky that we got to so our tour, knowing they cancelled on some that weren't going to be able to reschedule.
