Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Tour started early, it was 30min in water, total of 45minutes. perfect for two small kids(6yr & 9yr)

We didn’t see a single manta ray. Just a few small fish from a distance. I understand that the guides cannot control nature, but we paid $170 for the tour. I think a partial refund or opportunity to come back another night should be offered.

Aloha Fearless748323, I am very sorry that you did not see any Mantas on your tour out with us. Generally, manta sightings are very good, but they are wild animals and come and go as they please. Our crew works incredibly hard to try and give guests the experience they paid for, but sometimes things don't always go the way we want them too. The good news is that we do have a manta guarantee depending on how you book. For those who purchase tickets through a 3rd party such as TripAdvisor/Viator or at a discounted rate (in your case 2 seats at $85 a piece) and you don't see a manta, you may come back out again for an additional $30 a seat. For those who book directly with us or purchase tickets at our full online rate ($111) you may come back out again for free. It's no secret, Hawaii is expensive and most manta ray tours cost well over $100 a seat, but out of over 30 different operators our discounted is the 4th least expensive tour one can find on the island. We are happy to be able to offer such budget friendly rates to our guests. This trip was amazing and SO worth it! We went at 10:20. They put you in wet suites and give you snorkel gear, which some other trips don’t. You get cold even with the wet suites so be prepared! The last 15 minutes we saw two rays and it was something I will NEVER forget! I wish I would’ve rented a go pro…
