In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

The excursion was exciting. Took our nine year old grandson and he loved it. The experience was great, because they only take 6 people out at a time (intimate and personal ). The staff of three was kind, knowledgeable and safety oriented. The guide on land, in the boat and in the water could answer questions for each person in this small group setting. I recommend this as a must do activity. Mahalo

This is a must do! My entire family loved it. This is an amazing experience and the crew was great! There was a group from a different tour company nearby and they had a 7 year old boy with them who was freaked out, but these mantas are gentle giants and beautiful creatures, so there's really nothing to worry about.

This as a bucket list item for me and it didn't disappoint. There is just no way to describe how incredible this experience is, whether you dive or snorkel (I snorkelled). Our tour guides (Ron and Carl) were great, Ron was really knowledgeable about the rays and took care of us in the water so we had lots of close up encounters with the rays! This was a smaller group excursion too, which was much better and they supplied wetsuits too, which was appreciated as you are in the evening water for about 45 minutes. This is one of those experiences you just have to do if you get the chance! Plus you get an amazing sunset as part of the deal! This is a great company to go with too.
