In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Five is not enough stars. I loved the small group, especially after seeing the larger groups next to us. The intimacy offers greater exchange of information. I have back and neck issues, but found the tour very therapeutic. As for manta rays, they get very close, and often that was all you could see. You’d count 10-15 on your right, look left and see just as many. Just Awesome. Swimming skill level is minor, wet suits not needed. Care in adjusting you mask before helps for a more enjoyable experience. I’ve been scuba diving and snorkeling, and this was my best experience ever. TEN STARS!!!

Great experience. We’ve seen 13 friendly Mantas swimming around us, coming extremely close. Wildlife at its best. Worth the money:)

This was one of my top travel experiences in my life! I was a little nervous about being in the ocean at night but the crew made me feel very comfortable and the experience was worth the pre-jitters. You have 30 minutes in the water and many times I was staring right into the mouth of a giant manta ray! They don’t guarantee sightings but we saw eight of them including Big Bertha which is the largest on the island. All three of the crew that we experienced were very knowledgeable and professional. You need to book this!
