In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

This was an amazing experience! The crew made sure we were educated and comfortable with the experience. My 10 y/o son had the time of his life, as did I! I know for sure that the support and kindness of the crew eased his mind as he got into the water! I highly recommend going with this company! They are amazing! This was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done! The hardest thing about the entire experience was finding a place to park. They explained everything, the boat ride was only a couple of minutes, and it’s nice that they only have a maximum of 6 passengers (we saw other boats with 20+ people). They had a guide tow us around while we all hung onto a surfboard and floated with our faces looking down thru our masks. We went on the water at 7pm and initially I was worried that we wouldn’t see many rays that early but that wasn’t an issue. We spent at least half an hour in the water and saw a bunch of rays (often 2 or 3 together) swimming below us and doing loop de loops, often they came within only a couple of inches. They provide wet suits and snorkel gear.
