In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

We had 10 to 13 Rays swimming and eating at our board the whole time it was awesome!! The employees were very nice and helpful.

Our 7 and 11yo girls loved night snorkeling with manta rays! At first, were a little apprehensive, as even the adults were. But Eli made them very comfortable, answering all their questions and giving them factoids about the species and personal identification features of particular mantas we encountered. They came so close! Brushing against our elbows (hands on the board and feet up, so no touching) as they glided up to eat plankton swimming in the light of our board. It was truly an amazing experience; I may now have a couple of marine biologists in the making! Thanks, Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours.
