In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Big Island. What a magical experience having these gentle giants come up so close to you and occasionally brush against you as they do their glorious dance in the water eating plankton. Between the rays, the whys as to why they are there and the fish you can see, this is hands down a needed excursion with your stay.

We were the first at 7 pm. We were 3 us 2 others from another group. Everything was streamlined and professional. We saw 4 mantas and they rubbed our hands. Water wasn't cold though it was windy. We were 30 min in the water. The ride in the boat is 3 min. My kids loved it.
