In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

These gentle giants were amazing to see up close. We left right after sunset. They had wet suits and snorkels for us to use. The boat ride was very short and close to the pier where we left from. They had hot tea, cocoa, and snacks just in case we were hungry or cold. I loved the ginger tea as I was a little concerned about getting motion sickness. I will do this everytime I come to Hawaii. Just beautiful creatures.

YAY! It is always so encouraging to hear feedback such as this from guests who want to return and do the manta ray night snorkel again. One of the nice things about our tours is the ability to get guests out quickly to the manta site in less than 5 minutes versus a 30 minute boat ride where individuals are more likely to get seasick. They were very good. The staff were very knowledgeable and informative of the rays. They told us the names, weight and ages of the rays that came to feed off of our lights and kept moving us to maximize our experience with the rays and they all came around repeatedly to feed. I liked that it was a small group of 5 and the boat ride was about 5 minutes from where the mantas were feeding. I would highly recommend them!

Very impressed with the work they do to make this experience happen. The previous group had floated out a ways and they wanted to bring our group closer in to shore. There was a lot of work to lure the mantas back in to our area so we could be close to shore. It took a while, but they made it happen, and we had an awesome experience for our family with a 9 and 14-year-old.
