In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

My gosh... everything we hoped it would be. 3-6 rays around us the entire time. It was unnerving at first seeing these big animals gliding up to you with their mouths wide open, but our guides had prepped us. The rays are gentle and graceful in the water, controlling their every movement. They will swim unbelievably close to you, giving you a “love tap” or two. Really incredible. I went with my 13 and 15 year old boys and we felt safe the entire time. The lights set up by the surf board we held onto gave the rays a sort of black-light glow. Then a couple other lamps were set up on the ocean floor for even better viewing. Way cool. This tour was about half the cost of others. The only thing I can think of the other tours had was a bathroom on their boat. The gear was great and the wetsuits kept us warm. Heavily recommend this tour!!

We were tired from the time change but it was very cool. Everyone was helpful and this tour was worth waiting up for.

I wish I would relive that first moment when a Manta swooped up and almost brushed my face!!! Absolutely amazing - would recommend to anyone who visits the big island! The crew was very kind and knowledgeable and helped us have the best experience possible while making sure the Mantas were safe. My sister said her life is fulfilled now :)
