In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

The tour went well. They were very prompt to contact us and accommodating when we needed to change the tour date/time. We spent 30 min in the water and "met" over 10 mantas!

The rays were already schooling before we got off the boat. The guides had the light board up and attracting the rays. At one point we had a dozen rays in a feeding frenzy inches from our faces. The guides knew the names of each ray from pictures and the markings on their bellys.. nothing more to say but...... AWESOME!!!!!!!

We were lucky enough to have nearly non-stop manta ray dancing! Our guides were able to quickly identify the rays we were seeing and pointed out unique characteristics of them. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, quick to laugh and help us enjoy ourselves. I was so overwhelmed and amazed that I was crying which really messes up your mask and vision, so I don't recommend this if you can help it! :-) It was so awesome to be so close to these giant but gentle creatures and just float, relax and enjoy the show! It was over much too quickly and the guides politely resisted my pleas to just hang out with them the rest of the night! What a wonderful job they have! The only way this could have been better was if we were able to do the scuba dive rather than the snorkel!
