In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Great experience and endless fun. We have two teens (11/16), especially they enjoyed this trip a lot. To my mind it is a little overpriced and too short.

Best experience!! Hunter and crew were outstanding, and very knowledgeable! I liked that it was a quick ride to see the Mantas! Where else can u have these beautiful creatures swim right underneath you!! Don’t leave the BI until you do this!!

This is an EXCELLENT experience! This operator only takes 6 guests, max. So it is a quiet, intimate, calm experience.Be advised, you are in the water 30 min. To get everyone suited up and snorkel gear distributed takes a little time.( Other groups had over 20 ppl, and were crowded looking, loud, and not my style ). Excellent value, and the boat ride is 2 min. The Mantas swam within mere inches of us, and at one point I had to back up to avoid being brushed by them. You may rent a go-pro (which I'm SO glad I did) for $25. You keep the SIM card. This allowed me to have some good video and then captured photos of my experience. They provide shortie wet suits (body to knees, and down mid arm), which was nice to combat the coolish water temp. You park at the Keauhou marina, and there are public restrooms on site. This is appropriate for children if they aren't going to freak out by an 8-11 ft sea creature swimming up to their face...can't rave enough about this experience!
