In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

After reading other reviews I decided to do this and it was outstanding. The mantas know the drill and swim extremely close to you doing their slow back flips while they feed. Hunter and his co-worker were extremely nice and patient. The captain of the small dingy and the diver that guided our float were experienced and professional. They all explained things well. Good for relative beginners and more experienced snorkelers. Just the right amount of time. I agree with some of the other reviews that taking a small group like this company does seemed to be a better experience. Well worth it, and one of those experiences you won't forget.

This excursion was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! We saw up to 6 manta rays and they got so close they would actually touch us. So exciting! Highly recommend!

Saw 4-5 Manta Rays from pretty close, and Hunter and dive captain helped put to ease my wife who is not a swimmer. Hot choc in the end was a nice touch!
