In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Had wonderful time seeing the manta rays. Staff that took us on boat were well-prepared and felt very safe and taken care of. Haley did a great job!

Booked them for both our manta ray experience and custom boat charter. They cancelled the first manta ray experience due to bad weather, and I really respected their decision, as I'm sure it costs them money every time they have to do this (they offered to reschedule or refund everyone there). Our rescheduled manta ray tour was outstanding and we spent the entire 45 minutes in the water interacting with five different rays! Our custom charter was the next morning, and we had chosen a combined dolphin interaction and snorkel out to Captain Cook. We ended up snorkeling with 30 plus dolphins first-thing in the morning and followed this with an outstanding snorkel experience at Captain Cook. Our guide and captain were both knowledgeable and friendly, and supplied lots of information about the history and geography of the area. We will definitely be booking with Hawaii Island & Ocean Tours on our next Big Island stay!

He had a large group including several children and this ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We really appreciate the excellent service and how easy it was. Our guide was incredible and had so much information to share about manta rays that really made our time special. Thank you for the memories
