In order to book this tour basic swimming skills & previous snorkeling experience are required. Guest's must be able to swim a short distance to our snorkel board & independently climb up a side boat ladder. Guest must be able to converse in English to understand verbal instructions & safety briefings. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Incredible experience. The mantas get incredibly close and glow in the blue water— it’s a sight to behold and one that I would recommend highly! It a very easy snorkeling process, the water is calm but a little cold because you aren’t actively swimming, and there are plenty of rays of all sizes. Further, the man in the water with us was extremely helpful, open, funny, and experienced. He shared tons of tidbits and facts that were surprising and gave incredible insight into the species, the ecosystem, and even each manta, recognizing them from the markings in their undersides. Highest recommendation.

Our family immensely enjoyed our time swimming with the manta rays! Of all the things we chose to do in Hawaii, the Manta Ray night swim was by far the very best. One person from our party had never snorkled and everyone was so kind and patient with him. The people from Hawaiian and Ocean Tours care deeply for the Mantas and taught is a lot about these gentle giants.

This was a very exciting excursion. We did not know what to expect but we had a blast. Only thing we were disappointed with is the lack of Manta Rays. There was only 1 and that sounds typical for the excursion. The staff knew the 1 Manta Ray was only one there for the past week. If they told us at the beginning there would only be one I may have elected to swim with the dolphins.
