What To Expect

Kenai Fjords National Park

In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.

Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

We took the cruise to Kenai Fjords from Seward, the boat was clean and comfortable, the weather was perfect still chilly though. We were lucky to see almost all the wild life that we hoped to see, the whales, killing whales, sea lions and birds. We came to the glacier pretty close right in front of it..
The crews were fantastic and friendly, the overall trip was pleasant and enjoyable. Thanks to the Captain and crews.

Second year of Alaska vacationing----second time on this tour. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Delicious hot coffee and hot chocolate.....plenty of wild critters..... looking forward to going again next year. The gift shop is also EXCELLENT. Worth every penny.
