What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

This tour was incredible. We saw literally dozens of whales. Also saw otters, seals and sealions. Best part was when 3 orcas swam under our boat -- the water is so clear you could see them perfectly. The glacier was amazing. It makes a huge rumbling sound as the ice crashes into the sea.

Really wonderful experience. We took the six hour tour including lunch and desert. We got to see so many beautiful things on this tour. Glaciers of course and hump back whales, orcas, sea lions, seals, puffin and mountain goats. It was a fabulous experience. I would highly recommend. I normally get sea sick but I took preventative measures beforehand and was fine during the trip. We boarded early and I was able to sit on the inside upper deck to the rear of the boat. That was a great place to sit for me. We also were able to go outside onto the upper deck and front of the boat too which was so nice to see wildlife and glacier up close.
