We arrived as the Visitors Center was opening, and purchased the standard bus tour of the Kennedy Space Center. We started at the Rocket Park, guided tour, and then ventured out to other venues. The bus tour was wonderful. You pass the Vehicle Assembly Building, and go by Launch Pads 39B and 39A. Other buildings and storage areas are seen too. The VAB was open at one door and we saw the new launch structure for the new Space Launch System. 39B was being modified for launching a SpaceX rocket. We were dropped at the Saturn V/Apollo Center. There we saw the Launch Control Room, Apollo 8 capsule, full-sized Saturn V, lunar theater, and saw numerous other things. We took the bus back to the Visitors Center and had lunch at Orbit Cafe. We then saw two IMAX movies, Astronaut Encounter, ISS show and ended at the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. This was spectacular. Only downside was being bombarded with NASA's propaganda promoting its views on global warming. The bus driver and several films promoted this view which didn't need to be part of the space program.

If you are going to Orlando, check your Calendar to see if there is a Space launch at Cape Canaveral. If you are lucky, you will see something unique in your life, you will share a wonderful moment seeing a Space Shuttle taking off. I was there on 2nd April 2018, it was Easter and we were 18 000 people waiting for SpaceX CRS-14 Launch

Our group of four booked the tour of the Kennedy Space Centre and it was certainly worth the visit. Although we were Australians there were tears in our eyes when we came from the Altantis exhibit. The whole place was amazing and we could have spent days looking around and exploring all the displays. We had booked lunch with the astronaut and it was a nice buffet meal and our astronaut was great. He was very knowledgeable and talked for ages and did not mind how many questions were asked of him. Photos with him were available after lunch and it was very relaxed.
