If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

My 4 friends and I went on Duck Tour in Ketchikan Alaska....Captain Jim and The Amazing Gene Kelly were the absolute Best! Genevieve, or Gene for short, was extremely knowledgeable She gave us detailed history, fun facts, told great jokes, and pointed out sites and things to be sure and see and know about. We were All very impressed (I was surprised to find out she doesn’t live in Alaska full time). She has a wealth of knowledge. Ask for Captain Jim and Gene Kelly they will make this tour Special!!!!!!

Ketchikan is a small town so this tour pretty much takes you around all the main local spots, which you can do walking if you're so inclined. We had time before our tour so not knowing we walked around all the main areas for 1 1/2 hours then when we boarded the duck tour it took us to these same areas but with background information. Then it heads out to the harbor and cruises along the harbor and coastline before heading back to shore. It's a cool ride for about 1 1/2 hours total and the guide gives you all the information. Great way to see the city if you're not into walking. Bring a sweater or jacket only because once it hits the water it does get a little cooler.

On May 27, 2019, we "quacked" with Captain Peggy and Narrator McKenna. We enjoyed the commentaries regarding Ketchikan as well as the stories of Captain Peggy and Narrator McKenna. It was an excellent experience and amongst the best excursions we have taken.
