If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

We took the Duck Boat tour as an excursion when we got off our cruise ship. Our Duck had the greatest narrator Genevieve (Pepper) Kelley. She kept up with local history and events as we chugged along on land then into the sea. She took time to chat and answer individual questions too. Then when we came out of the water she got soaked when the wash down hose blew a seam as she was washing the sea salt off the hull. We felt bad for her but she just kept up the narration when she got back on board dripping wet for the return to the pier. The ride was nice and smooth. The tour is a good value for what you pay. Our Duck Captain was a good driver and sailor too. We didn't get splashed entering the water and he was watchful of the waves once underway. I think his name is Jim but he and Pepper toured us on May 20th. We had lots of fun, try this out. Doug and Cindy J. Gresham Oregon

This is a nice leisurely and unique way to tour Ketchikan. Th tour consists of a ride around the city with the tour guide highlighting attractions and historical facts and places along the route followed by a tour of the harbor from the water. Duck boats are fun to ride in and our guide and driver/captain were terrific and fun. This is a great relaxing way to to see the city and identify places to see if you are spending the day in Ketchikan. This is a great tour for kids, they will love it. If you are in Ketchikan and you have the time take a Duck Boat Tour of the City and use Ketchikan Duck Tours for your trip
