If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

This was super cute and fun, and Lee and Jerry were the best part. Lots of good information on the town, and I loved the town part of the tour!! Going out into the water was cute and fun but got a little boring, kind of wish there was more time on land! But all in all worth it and a great excursion!

There was a good commentary and this is one way to see some of Ketchikan but in my opinion not really worth the bother. They take you up to the salmon hatchery on the river, which you may not get to otherwise, and then along the coast a bit passing houses not scenery and then into the water. You only go a short way out towards where the cruise ships are berthed then turn around and return the same way so you only see what you can already see from the cruise ship. The duck was old and visibility difficult in the rain. It was also very cramped and uncomfortable with no leg room. We saw lots of eagles which was a high point.

Loved learning about the town on our drive to the water. Learned a lot of things we wouldn't have known or seen without the tour. We had members of our family ranging from 6 years old to 91 years old! It kept everyone interested! The blankets aboard were the perfect touch! We were warm and toasty! Great sights along the way! In the water we saw lots of bald eagles on the shore, seals (or sea lions, i cant remember) and fish! Our guides (two ladies, i cant remember their names - serious brain fog here!) were funny and knowledgeable! This was our first port and they started the trip of right! Would recommend! And at the end you have the option to buy the most annoying duck whistle ever, that my kids LOVED! ;)
