If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

It was our first port adventure on our Disney Cruise. The pick-up and drop off was conveniently as soon as we stepped off the ship. Our narrator was Jacob Alguire -- he was memorable for his jokes and I loved that he was able to speak from the "heart" when narrating about Ketchikan. I appreciated his sharing that he went off to serve our country followed by college only to realize that Ketchikan was home and came back and is now a math teacher during the school-year. Our group was fortunate that both the narrator and captain/driver were locals (at the end of our 9-night cruise, I realized that all the other port adventures were from seasonal summer workers who are not locals which made me appreciate our Ketchikan adventure even more). We didn't have a down-time as our captain shared about winter life in Ketchikan while Jacob was briefly rinsing the Duck off of salt water. Both provided a nice overview of Ketchikan. We saw lots of eagles. I wish the adventure was a bit longer with a salmon run viewing.

Ketchikan is tiny and short of going halibut fishing, the ONLY other thing to do is go shopping. The shopping, however, is painfully commercialized and you'll have a hell of a time finding anything truly made in Alaska. So choosing to take this duck tour was a cute alternative. Our captain was friendly and our narrator was fun and heavily-armed with corny jokes. The land portion was more interesting than the sea portion as there's not a ton to see from the water but the sea lions and bald eagles were out in full effect. For 90-minutes, it was worth the cost on this short port day on our cruise.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Duck Tour. Captain Rosair and Patrick we a great combination! They teased each other and made us laugh! Very knowledgeable too! Thank you guys for a fun time!!! Highly recommend!
