If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

Always a fun way to learn about a new place I visit, you get some local history, see the highlights, and get a boat ride.Our guide Caitlin was entertaining while informative during our tour, our driver/captain whose name I can't recall was also knowledgeable about the area. We saw bald eagles and harbor seals while on our trip. It was raining in Ketchikan that day, but as guide pointed out, it rains 300 days a year in Ketchikan, so no surprise there. Still was able to see a lot of this quaint city.

This was a $59.99 pp tour which took us around the city and narrated with facts and fiction(corny jokes). It was fun and once we entered the water, there were Bald Eagles perched in numerous spots. There was a fish packing plant that was cleaning fresh Salmon. There are many shops that will ship you fresh Salmon at $39,99 a pound with a 10 pound minimum. Overall it was a good tour

Being on a cruise that allowed for a very, very short time in port, we wanted to have a thorough look around. We chose Duck Tours, which is a trip in an amphibious vehicle that tours the town, and then drives right out into the harbor for a land-and-sea adventure. Our tour guide, Lee, was knowledgeable and fun. He shared a lot of interesting Ketchi-trivia, and kept us laughing. Our driver, Jim got us around town and out on the water as smoothly as possible. While on the tour, we were able to scout out the places we wanted to check out on our own afterward, and still have time to grab a beer and make it back to our ship before it left port. I would recommend Duck Tours to anyone who wants to check out the town in an entertaining way, at a reasonable price.
