Our first stop on our cruise. We had a beautiful day, which we found out is rare as it rains about 300 days a year. Our tour guide was nice, but there were a lot of lulls in the tour in which there was no information given. In fact, almost the whole time we were in the water our guide was silent. We were disappointed.

I was very disappointed to read of your experience during your tour. While an apology will not alter the outcome of you experience, I do extend sincerely. I certainly empathies regarding the points you mention in the review especially the lulls in the narration. This is a level of service is certainly not acceptable and has been addressed with the concerned party.

We were on the Cody J with Captain D and Gil. The trip was very informative and vastly entertaining. We also saw eagles and harbor seals. It was very enjoyable. Of the many Duck tours I've taken around the lower 48 this is one of the best.

My wife and I signed up for a Duck Tour advertised and confirmed by the guide as lasting 90 min. We were cheated out of 30 min. After the Tour left 15 min. late, the guide reassured us we'd get the full 90. About an hour after leaving, the Duck boat returned to land and pulled into a shabby parking lot so the underside could be hosed off, which took another 15 min., while the passengers were "entertained" with jokes which were not funny in the least; some were offensive. When I spoke with the manager to complain, she issued a pro-forma, insincere apology and told me the boat maintenance is considered part of the 90-min. tour. She didn't even attempt to explain the other 15 min. we lost by leaving late. No compensation was offered.

Thank you very much for your candid review of your recent duck tour. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as we strive to improve with every tour. I greatly appreciate your comments about aspects of the maintenance required, as it is part of the procedure to ensure safety for all guests which includes our safety brief that kicks off the tour. In taking great care of our duck (vessel) we continue to entertain while the duck is being sprayed down to rid is of salt water residue as well as checked for any debris that may have been caught on any portion of the duck. Our main priority is to be able to offer a very well-maintained vessel and comfortable atmosphere. I hope that I can convince you to change your mind about another visit on our tour. Please reach out to me directly at [email protected] if you would be willing to give us a chance to turn your experience around. It would be such a pleasure to personally welcome you back to our Ketchikan Duck Tour. Peter H. Jensen
