If you are concerned about seasickness, please note that this tour stays in the calm, protected waters of the Inside Passage and does not go out into the open ocean; large waves and rough seas will not be encountered
Guests must be able to navigate a 9-step boarding ladder to enter the vessel. Each step is approx 6" high. Guests are seated during the entire tour
Wheelchairs, strollers and walkers are not taken on board the boat; instead they are taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and taken to a dry, secure area during the tour and returned at the conclusion of the tour

We were up and boarded by 9 am but the early tour time did not dampen the host nor the his great knowledge of his city. Our guide was a Ketchikan native and as such was able to point out all local points of interest and then some. After taking the Seattle duck tour I had expected a little more sea time but understand that the harbor is an active port plus limited in size. This was a good way to see the high points of Ketchikan while in comfort. Yes the seats are tight but no seat had a bad vantage. Luckily the weather was with us and we did not have the top up or obstructed view. Definitely worth booking a tour!

This was a fun tour but taking pictures was difficult through the port holes in the cover over the duck. If we were able to open a larger window it would have made for better pictures.
